Course Description

Building capacity to listen more deeply to yourself, to God and to others has never been more important!
This course uses the metaphor of an inner studio to help you deepen your understanding of yourself. It utilizes process oriented exercises, tools and coaching questions to notice and value what is happening in the internal landscape of your soul.

​During the course, you will increase your ability to listen from your head, heart and gut, develop the skill of resonance, and use the concept of light and shadow to tune into what matters most to you. Understanding what deeply matters to you and meeting God in those deep places helps you navigate a noisy and demanding world with more confidence, purpose and peace.

The creative forms used in this course are: music, reflective walking, imagination, Lectio Divina, Visual Divina, Audio Divina, collage, prayer and journaling. (None of this requires you to have artistic skills!)

Important Note: The work in this course is not for everyone. We are all in different places on this journey we call life. We learn in different ways and need different levels of engagement at different times.  This class digs deep. It requires a willingness to engage the process of discovery with authenticity and curiosity and a commitment to do the personal reflection work required. You will be met with grace and respect for your own process.

Shadow & Light
Finding Hope in Unexpected Places

This course is a 3-part series that explores what it means to contain both light and shadow within ourselves, to practice the act of welcoming the Both/And of who we are, and to work with a few practical tools to help us live more wholeheartedly in our every day lives.

This process-oriented course will use visual art, experiences with nature, a hands-on art project, metaphor, scripture, thought-provoking questions and quiet reflection. 

We believe the journey of being human, including our spiritual selves, is a journey of becoming whole, a journey of accepting all the parts of ourselves and engaging our life and our relationships wholeheartedly. This includes our relationship with God who made us and accepts us.  It means letting God love our shadows and even love God back in the darkness.  Our light is beautiful and to be celebrated AND there are treasures in the darkness that we hide from ourselves. But they are not hidden from God.  True spirituality requires us to be honest and welcome our whole selves into the presence of God. He has already welcomed us. We are both/and. We are LIGHT and SHADOW. 

Making Peace
With the Season You're In

This one-hour audio course is designed to help you, who’ve been in a challenging season, find your footing by gaining fresh perspective and wisdom you can use for their journey.

It is a recorded reflection exercise that uses *visual art, music, and a series of questions that helps you pay attention to what your heart has been experiencing in this challenging season.

We often think it is the job of our head to make sense of things and to solve problems. But your head is not the only source of information. Your heart has a perspective and some wisdom to share with you.  

*The visual art is chosen by you before you listen to the recording. Instructions are provided.

​The most significant times of growth for us have come through making sense of something important in our lives in a fresh way. Using metaphor, nature, music, reflection, etc., in partnership with God, has led beyond information to transformation. We know this takes time and intention and having people in our lives who bear witness to our process. It is sacred work.
